I receive a lot of correspondence across my desk every day. My time is extremely limited, and precious to me. Over the past six months I have received a one page Life Lesson document on a weekly basis. At first, I must admit, I did not read them. Then one particular Life Lesson caught my interest, and I read the document. It was incredible. I showed it to my wife, and now we look forward to the weekly life Lesson that Will Rhame sends us. I think anyone can benefit from these Life Lessons. They are to the point and always have a sports background to them. I would recommend to all of my colleagues to subscribe to Will’s Life Lesson Coaching.

Barry Smith - President of the Florida Sports Hall of Fame

As a graduate from FSU and first round draft pick for the Green Bay Packers, I have had the privilege to understand sports from the field to the player’s boxes. Currently, I am the President of the Florida Sports Hall of Fame, which takes most of my time. I met Will during his writing of the book "Busines Golf", and from there we have opened Executive Sports Club (ESC) together as well as other ventures designed to help people. I have witnessed his development of the Power with Words, and I have enjoyed and learned a great deal from them. I can honestly say that if you are coach of ANY sport, you should consider making Power with Words a part of your training. Coaches have such unique relationships with their athletes that helping athletes learn effective communication is critical. I support Will in every way I can and hope that the Power with Words, becomes an educational tool for everyone!

Bea Shen - Parent

I am the mother of an eight year old tennis player. She picked up her first racket at age six under the guidance of an amazing coach who taught her how to truly have fun playing the game of tennis. She was sad upon finding out that her beloved tennis coach was going to take a break from teaching, because of an injury. Although my daughter’s passion never vanished, I could see that a period of drifting along without any true desire to improve followed. Then, we found Coach Will. With him, she found the structure and the guidance she had lost. Her technique has improved remarkably and she seems to thrive in the environment Coach Will creates in his tennis courts. It seems as if Coach Will has added a whole new dimension to the game of tennis, becoming somewhat of a life coach for the kids in his classes. Every week my daughter and I look forward to opening our email and finding Coach Will’s word of the week. We read its definition together and discuss it. The best part of it is to see how each of the chosen words apply to the game of sports and on a broader level to the game of life. Play fair, with determination, desire, passion, humility and respect, and you will always win in same ways. If you don’t win points on the court, you will acquire knowledge about yourself and learn how to improve. A great philosophy!

Bill Horne, Clearwater City Manager

In the spirit of great communication, great communication is a learned skill. And there's no relationship, business or personal, that can't benefit from being a better communicator.  POWER with WORDS is a communications program designed to help anyone wanting to master superior communication skills and better understand their audience. The course offers weekly one-page studies called "Life Lessons," that delves into the meaning, psychology and universal truths contained in one word or concept, along with tips from experts in many fields. As City Manager of Clearwater, Florida, one of my goals is to assist our employees to be the best they can when communicating with the public we serve and each other.  POWER with WORDS is a great tool for that purpose.  Over the past year, there have been several "Life Lessons" that caught my attention and taught me something new and helpful.  I am grateful to Will Rhame, for his contribution to improved communication for all of us.

Brian Sweeney- Former MLB Pitcher

Minor League Pitching Coach, Philadelphia Phillies Former MLB Pitcher, Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres. Life Lesson Coaching is a brilliant idea! The tennis court or any field of play is a perfect platform for developing the character of a child as well as the athlete in the child. A coach can have an incredible influence on children and by incorporating life skills with athletics, you can put kids in a very good position to succeed.

Chuck Fieldman, MD

I would like to take a moment to thank Coach Will for providing the Life Lessons he submits weekly to me. These one-page documents are “Life Savers.” Each week my wife and I read the Life Lesson and put into practice what Coach Will writes about. It’s not that we don’t know many of these Life Lessons, it’s the fact that we don’t practice them. They have helped my marriage, my outlook on life, and I send them to my children. I can honestly say that anyone can benefit from these Life Lessons. Thank you Coach Will!

Power with words has been very inspirational for me. I often read messages that seemed to have been written just for "me". The messages are dynamic and as powerful as the title- "Power With Words" implies!

Emilio - Public School Teacher

After nearly fifty years of teaching and coaching high school tennis, I thought I had seen everything that can help kids. These days are especially difficult for young children due to technology. Then I was introduced to Power with Words, by Will Rhame. I have been receiving every week an incredible Life Lesson that has been very valuable to me. But, these Life Lessons are the perfect answer to help children learn how to communicate and treat each other with respect. This program is a must for ALL schools! I sincerely hope that Mr. Rhame can get Power with Words into the school systems everywhere!

Me and my mom started reading the "Power Of Words" together and it made me realize a lot of things. I was doing and saying stuff that I didn't recognize at first. But after reading some of the articles, learning what a word means, how it starts, and how to prevent it really helped me. It also helped me change my point of view about things such as friends and school. I really hope Coach Will keeps on doing the Power of Words!!!

Joseph Cuenco - Executive and Consultant

I found the article on “Awareness” so profound that I have a printed copy hanging on my office wall. I find the Coach’s Powerwithwords life lessons beyond insightful. In short, powerful, and meaningful interpretations of researched and professionally documented essays, the addition of Coach Will’s professional acumen adds a balanced flavor of observations and wisdom that are applicable to the young athlete, the adult athlete, the business professional, and also to individuals interested in personal growth. For this reason, I forward his lessons to my adult sons. For example, the article on “Awareness” takes the reader much further beyond the consideration of what is taking place in the sports arena. Prompting the reader to consider personal beliefs, past actions, the impact on others, and what takes place within and beyond our control provides a perspective that prompts the reader deep into introspective thought and beyond. Coach Will’s narratives are concise in a short page format that carries formidable impact and deep understanding in a true broad brushed life skills application. They are truly poignant short and motivating lessons that are published on a weekly basis that stimulate even deeper contemplation. As Coach Will reminds us on the tennis court – focus! POWER with WORDS helps balance the three-legged stool comprised of mental and spiritual focus that are supported by the physical aspect and the sports application. Truly a must read for all….read, learn, and enjoy! UPDATE! Another Great article. I am going to forward it to my staff. We had a human resources issue this week (interpersonal confrontation between two managers). While I handled it and things are back to normal, I believe this article will reinforce my point. As I have mentioned to you previously, Power applies on and off the court. Well done!

Coach Will has taught me more than just tennis he has taught me life lessons. He has taught me how to control my anger and my ego. I needed help on my ego very much also my anger. If I needed help to know a word Coach Will is the perfect and the best to go to know about the word. Coach Will is one of the best people to give life lessons to people like me. Every word he gives us I always learn something new even if like everybody knows for example trust, truth, anger. But still, I always learn something. Also, the life lessons help me with my reading there are words that are long and I try to spell it out and sometimes I get right. Then I learned a new word so I love the life lessons. So I hope Coach Will keeps doing it.

I have always known the power of the spoken word. But, with Will, who is my coach, a great person and a friend, I have seen him as a teacher and a leader. The format he uses and the words he chooses cause me to re-evaluate myself and from each word I learn a new lesson and another way of seeing my myself, and the world I live in. I look forward to learning more.

As an International Baccalaureate member in High school,  Power with Words is helpful in my daily life by using to make new relations with others. Furthermore, knowing what words to use or to take actions based on the words we use, creates our best personality. It helped me in team sports, IB classes, making new friends. Thanks Will for changing my life, and making it better!

Kirk & Leslie Rudolph - Couple

We’ve been working with Coach Will for about 6 months now on our tennis game, and have really enjoyed and benefited from the on and off court coaching he expertly provides to me and my wife, Leslie. An unexpected surprise of working with Coach Will has been the periodic life lesson notes he provides via email. These notes have been very interesting and informative – delving into the mental side of sports and other areas of life – including parenting, and personal and professional relationships overall. I definitely recommend Coach Will’s assistance to anyone who is interested in improving their physical and mental game, or their marriage.

Manas - Student

Hello I am one of Will's clinics in tennis. Along with the classes I have also been receiving a vital piece of information that shows us things that happen to us in our everyday lives. These are apart of a organization called Power With Words. These pieces explain a topic that is either a problem or a universal trait. If it is a problem then it explains what is this problem, the symptoms, the solutions to it. If it is universal trait such as Mental Strength than it describes the definition of the attribute. Ex.:Mental strength is a measure of individual resilience and confidence that may predict success in sports, education, and the workplace. This is the actual definition from a Life lesson. Symptoms are next after the definition and than the solution. That is basically every Life Lesson, but the elaboration helps you understand the deeper meaning of life and, how it really is important for now and the rest of your life. I believe that if everyone reads this then it will change the way you live life and the way you think of life. Yours Truly, Manas Borkar, an inspiration to Coach Will.

Coach Will’s Life Lessons benefit me on and off the tennis court. POWER with WORDS helps me look at things in a new way and understand how my actions impact others. I can discuss every new word with people I play tennis with, my Mom, and Coach Will. Using POWER with WORDS, my attitude and focus while playing has improved. Understanding and talking about words that I thought I already knew everything about helps me to think about my actions and other people’s actions in new ways.

Steve Kistulentz - PhD., author

I played almost every sport you can imagine as a kid, but didn’t start tennis until I was 45. But in the two years I’ve worked with Will Rhame, I’ve seen firsthand what makes him a great teaching professional, his attitude and his patience. The results are in; I’ve gone from losing matches I should have won to making the playoffs in local leagues. His approach inspires the kids he works with, because they have fun; for the adults, his good humor and gentle suggestions are like spending a lesson volleying with a friend. Will’s life lessons, in just a few sentences, manage the seamless blending of a lot of different disciplines. Too many coaches in this world teach with a ‘my way or the highway’ approach; Will’s style is centered on the right way, and the fun way, to play the game.

img

Steve Talner - Businessman

I have been witness to a coach who started to write Life Lessons for his students, and within a month his lessons exploded! People came from other clubs just to get Will’s Life Lessons. The word spread that he did more than teaching tennis, he taught Life Lesson’s designed for both on and off the court. Both children and adults benefited, and it helped his reputation as a coach dramatically. All I can say is that if you are a coach of any sport you need to subscribe to Power with Words, it will help build your practice instantly!

Coach Will teaches me more than tennis, he teaches me life lessons. There is so much that I don't understand the mental side of tennis and life, but Coach Will sees to it that I learn both. I have never had anyone teacher or coach help me so much. Thank you, Coach Will!
